Flir Systems’ Flir One is a compact, easy-to-use thermal imaging device compatible with the iPhone 5 and 5s and fits like a protective case. Once mounted, it displays a live thermal image right on the phone’s screen. Its ability to detect and visualize heat, including differences in temperature, gives users a tool that can be applied in various contexts, including construction and remodeling. It houses its own battery source that can power the device for two hours of continuous use and can boost the phone’s battery life by up to 50%.
