In Michigan Dec. 16, the legislature reached a deal to provide $58 million in emergency heating assistance for needy residents. The Associated Press reports that Gov. Rick Snyder signed the legislation Dec. 20, creating a Vulnerable Household Warmth Fund for this winter only to help about 95,000 low-income Michigan residents.
