Sloan Strives to End Plastic Pollution on Earth Day 2018
Sloan Bans Plastic Bottles in Headquarters, Continues Efforts for Sustainability Inside and Outside the Restroom

As the theme of Earth Day 2018 is to end plastic pollution, Sloan is doing its part by implementing a plastic bottle free initiative in its Franklin Park, Illinois, headquarters, effectively eliminating the use of over 18,000 plastic bottles. This initiative has been very successful and will be rolled out to all of its North American operations throughout 2018.
Additionally, Sloan's Franklin Park manufacturing facility has incorporated recycling practices to capture the plastic materials generated from the manufacturing processes. As a result, Sloan diverted an additional 13 tons of material from the landfill last year and increased recycling by almost 23 tons in comparison to 2016. Similar waste and plastic reduction efforts are underway at our West Newton/Connector Road facility.
