The New Flat Rate, a provider of menu pricing for residential home service companies, has created an interactive, high-tech training room, expanding the company’s ability to train and educate its customers.
The classroom will enhance The New Flat Rate’s ability to train users remotely, utilizing technology that creates a virtual classroom, allowing an interactive experience for attendees, even those viewing the training through a web-based browser.
“This software really allows us to step up our game when it comes to our coaching efforts,” TNFR founder and CEO Rodney Koop said. “Each month, we offer classes at our training center for those willing and able to make the trip, but now we have a whole new way for us to share our wealth of experience with in-person and remote attendees simultaneously.”
One of the biggest bonuses of the software, Koop says, is that The New Flat Rate will be able to go beyond training focused solely on its menu pricing system. Koop has been in the industry for more than 40 years, and three decades of that have been as a business owner. He looks forward to being able to share things he’s learned with contractors across the country. He also understands how important remote access can be to some of the businesses signing up for training.
“This gives us a chance to offer more opportunities to the companies we work with, no matter their size,” Koop said. “Some businesses are large, with a lot of employees, and they have staff to man the fort, so to speak. Others are small shops, and it’s asking a lot of them to give up two, three, maybe four days of service calls for training and travel time.
"My main goal with the training we do is to help all of these contractors get the most out of every service call using menu pricing, which, in turn, will help them become better business owners. Our new software makes this strategy easier to achieve.”
