In September, Navien invited engineers and reps to learn more about its products and tour its Seotan Factory in South Korea. Navien CEO Scott Lee welcomed guests and presented not only the history of KD Navien, but also the company’s hope for 2020 and beyond.
In addition to the factory tour — which showed the products’ transition from parts to ready-to-ship boxes — attendees were given an overview of the many products Navien has to offer, including the recently launched NPN series.
“It was a good overview of the company and Navien’s brand/philosophy/history,” commented one attendee. “It was also good meeting Scott Lee and his team.”
One of the reps mentioned that he has already been receiving calls about the NFB-C availability. And after seeing the factory and the product, he is even more motivated and enthused about the product.
“It was very interesting to see the general processes and the extensive QC,” another attendee added.
The engineers and reps asked questions throughout the presentation and shared stories of times they installed Navien products.
“It was an exciting trip to South Korea for us to accompany eight specifying engineers along with their partner manufacturer representatives from many of the regions throughout North America,” said Brian Fenske, director of sales, commercial. “Along with our Navien regional commercial sales team, we hosted an awesome group to tour the South Korea factory facility, as well as the wonderful city of Seoul, with its attractions and cultural sites.
“The comments I have received about the product training followed by a tour of our automated and robotic manufacturing, material handling and warehousing operation was that all were amazed,” he continued. “Once you witness the quality applied in the manufacturing process as well as the final product checks, it helps you to visualize and understand the attention to details in our world-class manufacturing. I look forward to hosting this stupendous trip of a lifetime again with our Navien partners.”
In addition to the full day product session and factory tour, Navien set aside two days to take attendees to a number of Korean tourist spots and out to try authentic Korean food.
The success of this trip and the positive feedback has Fenske sure this will be the first of many annual trips.
