Zoom Drain, an operator and franchisor of drain and sewer services, announced the acquisition of The Pipeshark, trenchless pipe replacement specialists. This transaction will support Zoom Drain's efforts to strengthen its position as the leading provider of drain and sewer services in Philadelphia through both continued market share growth and acquisitions. Additional details of the transaction were not made public.
The Pipeshark, covering the metro west area of Philadelphia, is owned by brothers John Galligan and Dave Galligan.
“We’re extremely excited to have The Pipeshark team join Zoom Drain,” noted Zoom Drain CEO Jim Criniti. “Both our companies introduced trenchless technology to the Philadelphia Metro area over 20 years ago. The Pipeshark team has years of specific experience working on large, complex trenchless projects. John and Dave join us as skilled and accomplished industry professionals, intent on helping us grow and develop our team.”
“We’ve known Jim for about 20 years; we understand his business philosophy," said John Galligan. "So, when it came time to move the company in the next direction, partnering with Zoom Drain was the first thing we thought of.”
“Coming to Zoom was a chance to channel the energy we still have for the industry, and to share our knowledge and experience,” John Galligan added. “It’s like you're drafted as a coach on a team that's destined for the Super Bowl. It truly is exciting to have this opportunity.”
Zoom Drain is growing, and looking to acquire additional complementary businesses.
“We are in a unique position to partner with owners who are contemplating selling, retiring, transitioning their business, or looking to partner with a larger organization," Criniti said. "We can provide opportunities for companies of all sizes.”
