PHCC of California announced Cheryl Mosier was named 2022-2023 president, the first female to ever lead the organization.
Mosier is the marketing and customer relations manager for San Diego-based Cable, Pipe and Leak Detection, which has been a PHCC member for more than 35 years. She became active in the San Diego Chapter of PHCC in 2003, joining the Board of Directors in 2006. Mosier served with the National PHCC Auxiliary as recording secretary for two years, then moved her way up the chairs to president in 2014 while also serving on the PHCC — National Association Board of Directors.
Mosier replaces outgoing 2020-2022 PHCC of California President Mike DeSilva of Plumbing Plus, also located in San Diego. DeSilva was PHCC of California's first two-term president, leading the organization in a historic two-year term that fell during an unprecedented pandemic.
"I've served on the California board since 2015, and it's a privilege to be elected as the first female PHCC of California president," Mosier said. "One of the best practices that PHCC is working on is workforce development. Our local, state and national associations are working diligently to get the trades back into high school and junior high levels. Educational opportunities can be found throughout California and we are continually presenting education classes for new procedures and technology in the plumbing industry. I look forward to meeting with our membership statewide, and learn about new procedures and technology in our industry!"
