Ahh, September! The month that brings cool fall weather, the return of familiar schedules and the sense that the end of the year is coming quickly. While some areas still have higher-than-normal temps, here's hoping that all find respite soon from the searing hot summer of 2023.

You may be interested to know that 2023 is noteworthy for more than hot weather. This year is an exceptionally active year for regulations in the United States. Therefore, September is the perfect time to review governmental activities, make plans for the final quarter of 2023, and develop a work plan for future implementation dates.


As of July 2023, DOE EERE released 72 regulatory notices and has three planned Public Meetings in September 2023.


One of the busiest U.S. agencies this year is the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). The DOE manages U.S. nuclear strategies, runs 17 National Laboratories, and oversees the U.S. energy supply, which includes clean energy, energy efficiency, and climate change initiatives.
