Aligo Inc., a provider of mobile field force software solutions, appointed Emerick M. Woods as its chief executive officer. He replaces Robert Smith, who has left the company to pursue other opportunities. Woods was most recently working with a venture capital firm to reposition, develop sales and growth strategies, and launch early seed stage companies before joining Aligo.

In other news, the company acquired H2 Technologies, a developer of service management software. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Former H2 CEO, John McCarthy, was named vice president of sales and will spearhead Aligo operations in Atlanta.
