Encompass Services Corp. reported a 41 percent drop in earnings for the second quarter with $14.1 million, compared with $23.7 million in the year-earlier period. The company, which said it has seen $850 million in contracts cancelled by customers this year, forecast third-quarter earnings per share of 22 cents to 27 cents on earnings.
