ServiceMaster Reports Record Third Quarter; Share Repurchase

ServiceMaster reported its third quarter revenue at a record $1.6 billion, up 24 percent over the third quarter of 1998. Net income rose 18 percent to $67 million, with earnings per share increasing 11 percent to $0.21. In other SVM news, the company has authorized a $150 million share repurchase and a fourth quarter cash dividend of $0.09 per share.

Emcor Reports Record Third Quarter

Emcor Group Inc. reported its revenues for the third quarter of 1999 at a record $810.7 million, a 43 percent increase compared to the same period last year. Gross profit increased nearly 35 percent to $78 million compared to $58 million last year.

AMPAM Reports Third Quarter Results

American Plumbing and Mechanical Inc. announced its third quarter revenues at $102.1 million, a 24 percent increase over the same period in 1998. Revenue grew 8 percent from $94.3 million in the second quarter of 1999.
