To battle a critical shortage of electrical and technical workers, the electical construction industry is taking aim at every high school in the country with an unprecedented recruiting campaign.
NECA and the IBEW have blanketed 30,000 high school and vocational guidance counselors with "Career Action Kits" detailing high-paying jobs and training opportunities available. Over the next decade, officials estimate they need 100,000 workers to meet their wiring and cabling needs.
