The 1999 Mechanical Contractors Association of America convention — slated February 21-25 — has attracted more than 2,200 registrants to its five-day program.

“I’m gratified, but not surprised, by the record number of registrants,” said James Murphy Jr., MCAA president.

Held at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla., the convention will include educational workshops, member awards, speakers and a manufacturer/supplier exhibit. It will center on an educational program that includes facilitators from the Disney Institute, an organization that teaches the techniques of effective leadership and customer service.

PM will have full coverage of the convention in a subsequent issue.
