Cincinnati-based Chemed Corp. reported that its Roto-Rooter Services Co. subsidiary has acquired the assets of the Roto-Rooter franchise in Temple, Texas. The purchase price was not disclosed.

The franchise, which services a population of 365,000 in several counties of the state, generated annual revenues exceeding $800,000 in 1999. The acquisition will be operated by an independent contractor.
