The Associated Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors of Texas developed a task force on mold issues to monitor plumbing industry problems relating to mold in the state. The group had its first meeting in January to develop guidelines for contractors dealing with mold-related issues.

Other issues discussed at the meeting were the contractor's role in dealing with mold-related issues, insurance liability agreements and the proper way plumbing contractors should respond when discovering mold on service calls.
