Korrect Plumbing of Dayton, OH, is the winner of Gerber’s $25,000 advertising campaign sweepstakes. “We were very surprised,” said Korrect’s president Dan Patterson. “You didn’t count on winning. We were very honored to be the lucky winner, and I feel very good to be working with Gerber on this campaign. I think it’s going to be a good match.”
Out of over 1,000 entries, family-owned Korrect was drawn to be the beneficiary of a local advertising campaign designed by Gerber’s ad agency, Hoffman York & Compton, featuring television and radio commercials, newspaper ads and outdoor advertising. The campaign process will also include market evaluation, goal setting, audience definition, media strategy, plan execution and evaluation of results. That’s quite an increase from the modest amount Korrect spent on Yellow Pages advertising in the Dayton telephone directory and suburban phone books.
The company, established in 1950 by Patterson’s father, N. Ivan Patterson, and his late uncle, C. Edwin Hunn, is now run by Patterson, his sister, Martha Plunkett and executive vice-president Dave Puderbaugh. Korrect has 30 employees with 21 plumbers in the field focusing on repair and remodel work for both residential and commercial customers.
