'Donate-A-Skill' Expands Military Family Assistance Program
The Unmet Needs Program has provided monetary assistance since June 2004 to more than 200 American military families facing “significant and unforeseen” financial hardships due to a family member's deployment overseas. The program, sponsored by drill bit and saw blade maker Vermont American and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, is now expanding to allow plumbers, mechanical contractors, carpenters, electricians and other tradesmen to donate their skills to help military families in their local communities. Visit the Unmet Needs Web site,www.unmetneeds.com, for more information.
