Wedeco Recalls UV Disinfection Systems
Wedeco recently recalled its M4 and M7 UV disinfection systems because a retesting of the M4 unit by NSF International determined “it was not performing in accordance with the requirements” of NSF/ANSI Standard 55, to which the product was certified. This standard required the treatment system to deliver a certain equivalent UV dose. The M7 model was certified based on the testing of the M4, so NSF has removed both models from its official listing.
