Messe Frankfurt and its partners, American Supply Association (ASA), Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating (CIPH), and Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors National Association (PHCC-NA), announced that the inaugural ISH North America will be held Oct. 31-Nov. 2, 2002 at the National Trade Centre, Toronto, Canada.
The event organizers plan to have the Canadian border "eliminated" for the show's exhibitors. Canada Customs will create a "virtual border" inside the National Trade Centre, allowing customs clearance of all goods and materials that exhibitors may bring to the show. This eliminates any possible delays from the exhibitor's need to complete paperwork at the border.
Eliminating another potential obstacle, the Canadian Customs and Revenue Agency tentatively plans to allow all booth materials, including brochures and giveaways, to arrive at the convention site without duty or goods and services tax.
Furthermore, international exhibitors and attendees of ISH North America will have special VIP status with Canadian Immigration providing for easy entry procedures.
The new trade event is positioned to become the leading North American trade show integrating six major industry sectors - Heating/Ventilation systems, Air Conditioning technology, Kitchen & Bath products and technology, Plumbing/Hydronics/PVF, Measuring/ Testing/Control/Regulation technology, and Building Automation.
The organizers are expecting some 20,000 domestic and international buyers to see the anticipated 600 domestic and international exhibitors at the inaugural event in Toronto.
Destinations for the subsequent years will include Las Vegas, Orlando and Chicago.
