The Mechanical Contractors and Unions Seal of Approval (CAUSE) named Joseph Savia, business manager for Steamfitters Local 602, as its chairman for the 2004-2005 term. He has been a leader of Local 602 since 1979, and was named business manager in 2003.

CAUSE, celebrating 20 years in the industry, is managed by officers and trustees selected from member companies of the Mechanical Contractors Association of Metropolitan Washington, and the two unions, Steamfitters Local 602 and Plumbers Local 5, who represent their unionized employees.
