Bernard J. Vondersmith, 61, executive vice president of MCA of Maryland, Towson, Md., died Aug. 12. He was co-founder and a past executive director of Contractors and Unions Together (COUNT), and was trustee of several funds for Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 486, Baltimore, and Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 782, Seaford, Del.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo, three daughters, his mother, two siblings and six grandchildren.
