Citing a new focused branding effort, Wirsbo, manufacturer of PEX tubing, assumed the addition of its Finnish parent company's name. Uponor is traded on the Helsinki Exchange and is the second largest pipe supplier in the world. Uponor, founded in 1982, has been growing rapidly with acquisitions throughout Europe. Uponor extended its activities into North America with the acquisition of Wirsbo in 1988.
