Watts Industries Inc. announced that Timothy P. Horne, chairman and chief executive officer, will retire by Dec. 31 of this year. The board of directors has begun searching for a successor and expects to have one in place by the second half of the year.

Horne has served as CEO since 1978, and chairman since 1986.
