For the 2002 first quarter, EMCOR Group reported net income of $7.3 million, an increase of 28.2 percent from $5.7 million a year ago. First-quarter revenues were $810.3 million, down from $837.6 million a year ago.

The first quarter results include one month’s results of the 19 companies that the company acquired March 1 from Comfort Systems USA. The acquired companies contributed about $48.8 million of revenues to the first quarter.
