Daniel M. Dearden, CMS, a field service rep for Trane and a member of the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society, was named Top Tech 2004 at the North American Technician Excellence Certified Technician Competition last fall. The competition tested seven technicians on the technological, systemic and mechanical knowledge required to install and service today's heating and cooling equipment. Deardon won $500 and a trophy.
In other news, the organization announced the addition of Siemens Building Technologies to its Partner in Education® original equipment manufacturer information campaign. This partnership provides RSES members with access to Siemens' technical information from the group's Web site, www.rses.org.
