Members of PHCC Connecticut helped the family of a National Guardsman serving in Kuwait with a free boiler and free installation. Walt Woycik of W.J. Woycik Plumbing & Heating (Mystic, Conn.) organized the project, Shetucket Plumbing Supply (Groton, Conn.) and Burnham Co. split the $2,400 list price for the boiler and parts, and PHCC Connecticut members Paul Currie, Steven Long, Cris Kerfus, Carl Smith, Richard Garcione and Jim Brown volunteered their time.

Also, PHCC Texas launched its "Operation Texas PHCC" to provide volunteer plumbing, heating and cooling services to families of those stationed in Iraq. To facilitate the process, PHCC Texas is forwarding interested member company names to the military family support office in their area.
