To celebrate National Plumber's Day, Roto-Rooter awarded its “Pimped-out John” to  Marcia Luhman of Oro Valley, Ariz.

Yes, it’s National Plumber’s Day, and to celebrate the occasion, Roto-Rooter has awarded its “Pimped-out John” - a customized, one-of-a-kind toilet - toMarcia Luhmanof Oro Valley, Ariz. She is giving the $5,000 toilet to her 25-year-old son (except the laptop computer) “because he is a little crazy and I knew he would enjoy it.”

The prize: A Kohler® Cimarron™ toilet has been further enhanced with a Philips™ 20-inch flat panel LCD TV; an Xbox™ 360 gaming system; a Philips™ DVD player with Star Wars DVD; a Gateway® Emachine™ laptop computer with fully articulated robot arm; an iPod™ with stereo docking station equipped with toilet paper dispenser; a Roto-Rooter “emergency” button; a Tivo™ digital video recorder; an Avanti™ refrigerator with beer tap, stocked with drinks and snacks; a magazine rack; a bike pedal exercise system; and an electric cup warmer/cooler.

Roto-Rooter created the toilet as an exercise in hedonism because the average person spends one year, four months and five days on the toilet in a lifetime. Management at the plumbing and drain cleaning company felt that time spent on the john should be more productive, or at least entertaining.

The sweepstakes kicked off in January on Thomas Crapper Day. Luhman beat out 318,000 other entrants.
