GAMA’s Hydronic Institute has scheduled a new round of I=B=R Schools for this spring, and includes a new one-day format. The course is developed by veteran instructorBob Heddenin conjunction with GAMA’s Hydronics Institute Division.

In 2007, learn the fundamentals of designing and installing a hydronic heating system with baseboards and radiators, including: how to do heat loss calculations; pipe sizing; control selection and boiler sizing; baseboard and radiator selection; indirect water heating; zoning; wiring; and circulator selection.

The spring 2007 schedule (school hours at all locations: 8 a.m.-5 p.m.):

  • May 9 - Hampton Inn, Bensalem, Pa.
  • May 10 - Radisson Saddle Brook, Saddle Brook, N.J.
  • May 15 - Marlborough Courtyard by Marriott, Marlborough, Mass.
  • May 17 - Plainview Holiday Inn, Plainview, N.Y.

I=B=R registration fee is $295 and includes the I=B=R textbook, “Guide to Residential Hydronics Heating Design/Installation,” and “Heat Loss Calculation Guide H22;” a new accompanying class workbook; continental breakfast, lunch and beverages; and a certificate of course completion with the Hydronics Institute’s respected I=B=R seal.
