The City of Los Angeles granted general approval for FlexHead Industries’ flexible fire sprinkler connections. The company’s products, which include hose, fittings and brackets, are the only flexible solutions to gain such approval. A key factor in the decision was that FlexHead is the only manufacturer to meet seismic qualification testing pursuant to AC156, “Seismic Qualification Testing of Nonstructural Components.” The testing was conducted by the Department of Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering, University at Buffalo.
