Goulds Pumps has awarded 14 high school graduates $1,000 college scholarships. The recipients are children of members of the Goulds Professional Dealers Association. The GDPA is the industry’s oldest and largest association comprised solely of more than 7,000 independent water systems professionals.
This year’s scholarship recipients include Derek Edward Hazard, William Cody Ehrman, Heather Motto, Sara Shelton, Stephanie Mae Iselt, Ashley Stock, Preston C. Jernigan, Hilary Fabich, Elizabeth Martinez, Angela Dawn Edwards, Marsena Dawn Henderson, Melinda Marie Pomeroy, and Cason Katherine Warner.
“We started the GPDA Scholarship Program to assist the children of our Goulds Pumps family towards obtaining a college education,” said Dennis Coggins, Vice President, US Sales - ITT Residential and Commercial Water. “By helping our Dealers’ children achieve their professional dreams and goals, we insure the future of our industry.”
In the eight years since the GPDA scholarship program was formed, 92 collegians have been awarded scholarships based on demonstrated academic achievement and potential, community service, and leadership.
In addition, Goulds Pumps has created the Future Professional Dealers of America, where young people aspiring to follow in their parents’ footsteps receive technical information and support to further their studies.
