House, Senate Override Presidential Veto Of Water Bill
On Nov. 6 and Nov. 8 respectively, the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate overrode a presidential veto in strong support of the Water Resource Development Act, legislation that calls for investment in critical water infrastructure projects around the country. In order to override a presidential veto, a two-thirds majority vote in both the House and Senate are necessary.
