• Matco-Norca announced that Lynn A. McVay, formerly of Watts Water Technologies, has joined the company as its new president. McVay had been with Watts since 2003 and was most recently executive vice president of sales and president of the company’s Retail Group. Prior to Watts, he worked for the Little Giant Pump Co.
  • Alan H. Barry stepped down as president and chief operating officer of Masco Corp. Nov. 30, 2007. The company announced that chief executive officer Timothy Wadhams assumed the additional title of president, and Donald J. DeMarie Jr., executive vice president, is COO.
  • Elkay Manufacturing Co.’s Plumbing Products Division announced changes to its sales department with three promotions within the organization: Mark Whittington was promoted to senior vice president of sales; Ted Hamilton was promoted to director, trade sales and market development – West; and Mike Purcell was promoted to director, trade sales and market development – East.

    Whittington joined Elkay in 1999 as the Broadview plant manager; he has also held a variety of management positions at Elkay, including director of sink manufacturing, vice president of manufacturing and most recently, vice president, trade sales and market development – West. Hamilton has held a variety of key roles from sales services to finance and materials management. Hamilton’s management positions throughout his career at Elkay include logistics and distribution center manager, operations manager of Elkay’s St. Charles facility, plant manager for the Broadview facility and central region sales manager. Most recently, Hamilton was the market development manager for the Midwest region. Purcell started with Elkay as the eastern regional sales manager in 2005 and most recently held the position of national accounts manager in 2006.

  • Peerless Pump Co. promoted Leroy Williams to the position of director, demand supply integration; added Scott Patterson as director of quality and Mike Gardner as manager of purchasing; and promoted Angela Selburg to the position of supervisor, corporate traffic.
  • Jerry Kirkland was appointed vice president of operations for Hart & Cooley Inc. He has held various positions in plant and quality management, operations and general management. He has worked for Cummins Engine Co., United Technologies Automotive, Dynagear Inc., and most recently as general manager for Delphi Automotive Systems.
  • BrassCraft hired Jeff Jollay as vice president of marketing and product development. Prior to joining BrassCraft, Jollay was vice president of sales and consumer marketing for HON office furniture. In addition, he has held positions as general manager for Brunswick Recreation and marketing director for Whirlpool major appliances.
  • Software provider WennSoft has named Tom Eide to the newly created position of vice president sales and marketing. He has experience in a variety of roles including chief executive officer, chief financial officer, sales and systems.
  • Bath furniture and storage solutions manufacturer Sonia recruited sales expert Stephen LaMachia as eastern regional sales manager. LaMachia has over seven years of sales experience; prior to his position with Sonia, LaMachia served as the northeast regional sales manager for Hansgrohe and worked as an outside sales representative for both David Gooding Inc. and Urell Inc.

    The company also hired Barr Tinney as a customer service representative. Tinney has served as a showroom sales associate for both Ferguson Enterprises and Lawrence Plumbing.
