The Hollywood theme prevailed in Anaheim, CA, at the annual In-Sink-Erator luncheon during this year’s PHCC/ASA Network ’07 conference. From the red-carpet entrance to the paparazzi, it was an all-out entertaining event. Even Lucille Ball showed up to emcee the festivities and hand out awards and honors from the PHCC Educational Foundation and the PHCC-National Auxiliary.
This is the 19th year that In-Sink-Erator has sponsored the award ceremony luncheon, and Lucy did not let that go unnoticed. The uncanny impersonator kept things light and entertaining, and the large-size Oscar statues, teleprompters, TV Screens ― and inevitable over-run of time ― helped encouraged the idea that this was a traditional televised awards show.
Besides the entertainment and laughs, several people were honored and congratulated by the PHCC:
In addition to the awards, several scholarships and monies were donated to the PHCC Educational Foundation and PHCC-National Auxiliary to further the education, promotion and recruitment of the next generation of P-H-C tradesmen and women.
