Founders and employees of the Spokane, Wash., contractor will be retained.

TheSpokane Journal of Businessreported that mechanical contractor McKinstry Co. (Seattle) bought the plumbing contracting firm of Ramsey Plumbing & Heating (Spokane, Wash.). Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Ramsey Plumbing foundersWendyand Duane Ramsey will remain to lead the firm, and the companies 60 employees will be retained, saidDoug Moore, president of McKinstry.

McKinstry has had an ongoing partnership with Ramsey Plumbing, which has helped it provide services not easily delivered from McKinstry’s Seattle office to clients that include Avista Corp., the city of Spokane, and others.

McKinstry Co. is ranked No. 37 onPlumbing & Mechanical’s 2008 Pipe Trades Giants list.
