Decolav promoted the contest through Facebook and grew its social media membership.



Plumbing fixture manufacturerDecolavannounced the winner of its social media contest the “DECOLAV Designer Bathroom Mini-Makeover Sweepstakes”.Florencia Turcowill receive a complete Decolav 5300T bathroom vanity, mirror and side shelf, as well as a single-hole faucet donated by Hansgrohe. And winning couldn’t have come at a better time.

“The economic crash caught my future husband and I with a house under demolition, and no money to make it work,” she said. “We are getting married next month, and I am thrilled that one of our many projects will now be complete thanks to the amazing people at Decolav. It's our favorite wedding present yet!”

To enter the sweepstakes, consumers signed on to Facebook and become a member of the Decolav Facebook group, where they were automatically entered into the contest.Brian Brigham, Decolav’s director of marketing says the sweepstakes was created based on his own remodeling experience with putting in a new vanity and how it changed the entire feeling of his home.

Eager to re-create that same feeling for someone, and wanting to promote consumer brand awareness using social media, Brigham put the sweepstakes into motion and grew Decolav’s social media group membership from 24 to 120 fans in just one month.

There was such a positive response to this promotion that Brigham hopes to hold one every quarter and promote it through Facebook, Twitter and e-mail blasts.
