ECR International welcomed U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) at its Utica facility, where she announced her “Made in America Manufacturing Bill”. The bill is meant to help revitalize manufacturing in New York State. “It’s time to see ‘Made In America’ again starting right here in New York,” said Senator Gillibrand.
ECR International has been manufacturing boilers, furnaces and air conditioning products in Utica and Dunkirk, N.Y., for 85 years. President and CEO of ECR International Ron Passafaro said, “We have a long standing commitment to our communities, employees and customers and we welcome the Senator’s efforts in assisting us in serving them all.”
Gillibrand toured ECR’s facility where ECR made the commitment to stay in New York five years ago and invested more than 14 million dollars in facility additions, new equipment and renovations. One of these investments is ECR’s state of the art Engineering R&D labs.
“It’s time to see ‘Made In America’ again starting right here in New York,” said Senator Gillibrand. “I believe New York’s great manufacturing communities are well positioned to compete for funding that would help carry out their innovative ideas to spark more growth in high-tech manufacturing sectors, jumpstart new businesses, and create good-paying jobs right here where we need them the most.”
