Aquatherm introduces a new polypropylene-random to PEX transition. The transitions, available in 1/2”, 3/4” and 1” sizes, are made from PP-R and brass. The fittings are heat-fused to Aquatherm pipe on one side of the connection and crimped to PEX pipe on the other side. PP-R to PEX transitions currently are available as socket outlets and will make it easier to design and install Aquatherm systems that integrate PEX tubing. They also are designed to reduce cost and the risk of leakage by eliminating a threaded connection in the transition to PEX.
