A new collaborative partnership called theEnergy Efficiency
Contractors’ Network will assist contractors in Ontario to help small – medium
enterprises (SMEs) save money while using less energy. The network was recently
granted $154,000 by the Conservation Bureau of the Ontario Power Authority to
build an education program and a central database of local distribution carrier
incentive programs. Nearly 99% of all businesses in Ontario are classified as
SMEs; combined, they use 25% of the province’s electricity.
