New Jersey utilityPublic Service Electric and Gasfiled a request with the state Board of Public Utilities to loan $100 million over the next two years to public and private property owners to help finance the installation of solar heating systems, according to the Cherry HillCourier Post.
Loans would be paid back over 15 years, giving consumers rare access to long-term money for relatively small-scale energy improvements.
