TheNational Association of Oil Heating Service Managerswill hold its 55th Annual Convention and Trade Show May 18-22, 2008, at the new Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, Conn.
The agenda will focus on providing customers with the clean, green comfort that oilheat systems can deliver today.
Attendees have an opportunity to hear all about “Greening Steam” from Dan Holohan. Those interested in learning more about BioHeat® can attend a panel discussion that will bring everyone up to speed on the status of BioHeat® and its integration into the home heating market.
Learn how solar and Oilheat can work together in a class to be presented by Viessmann Mfg. And for those that prefer to stick to the basics, John Levey will present a class on tanks including the latest on underground storage tanks. Bruce Marshall will present an important efficiency-related class “Understanding and Using Test Equipment.”
Also, Dr. Tom Butcher (Brookhaven National Laboratory) will moderate an international panel discussion. Hear first-hand some of what was presented at ISH 2007 in Germany. Another green class will be presented by husband and wife team, Bob “Hot Rod” Rohr and Ellen Rohr.
There will be more presented on the subject of radiant by Taco’s John Barba, who will explore the “World of Ways to Get Radiant Done.”
Honeywell will present “Basic Controls.” “Pumping Into the 21st Century” will be presented by Steve Thompson, vice president of technical and training services for Wilo N.A. And for alternative trades, such as plumbing, electrical or even home inspection, there's a “Basic Burner 101 Class” where attendees can learn the basics of servicing and installing replacement burners.
