The Economic Census collects and provides information on industry revenues and other measures of American
business performance across industries and geographic areas.
Every five years - in years ending in “2” and “7” - the
Economic Census collects reliable business statistics that are essential to
understanding the American economy. It provides information on industry
revenues and other measures of American business performance across industries
and geographic areas.
Nearly 4 million businesses have
received forms, including large, medium and small companies representing all
U.S. locations and industries. Respondents are asked to provide a range of
operational and performance data for their companies. If you are one of those
businesses, you are required by law to respond by Feb. 12.
