According to Cogeneration & On-Site Power Production magazine, gas heat pumps used in Europe’s commercial and industrial sector could be a major component for residential heating. About 8 million boilers are sold in Europe for residential applications each year.
A study by consulting firm Delta-ee reports that gas heat pumps have lower running costs, gas technology is already accepted by consumers and contractors, they are good for retrofit applications and have 30% carbon reduction.
