To help manage growth, HeatLink has moved one of its western North American warehousing operations into a substantially larger facility in Calgary. The new 22,000-sq.-ft. warehouse is designed to improve customer service through increased efficiency in a number of areas.
The new warehouse is an environmentally friendly design that incorporates automatic lighting using motion sensors, and large window areas to utilize large amounts of natural lighting.
“This is our second major warehouse expansion in the last four years,” said Manfred Schmidt, president of HeatLink. “We are experiencing continuing growth in both plumbing and heating sales, and we need this new warehouse to ensure we maintain our high standards for customer order turnaround.”
He added that pallet storage area is almost tripled, bundle capacity and staging area are doubled, and the number of loading dock doors is increased.
