The $2,500 individual awards are given to top-performing students enrolled in a PHC-related course of study.  

As part of the partnership, the award will be re-branded the "Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award presented by A. O. Smith." 

Children of employees of Johnstone Supply are eligible to receive the individual $5,000 scholarships.

The APHCC-Texas Charitable and Educational Foundation has awarded a total of $232,500 in scholarships since 2003.

Taco Comfort Solutions donated more than $32,000 to the Folds of Honor Foundation at the Eastern Energy Expo.

Submitted essays must be the completely original work of the submitter and a minimum of 1,000 words.

The contest is open to high school seniors who wish to pursue a college degree or technical education. 

The contest has awarded $120,000 in scholarship money over four years.

Students entering the plumbing or HVAC professions are eligible for scholarships.

College-age winners are children of Taco employees.
