During the 2013 AHR Expo in Dallas, the trade show’s leaders distributed a survey to its 55,000 attendees. The results were a tad surprising coming out of the industry’s premier HVACR event. Nearly 18% of attendees say they are interested in plumbing products and technologies. The show’s organizers and exhibiting companies have responded in earnest to those results.

Nearly 100 plumbing contractors and leaders from across the country met in Kohler, Wis., June 26-28, to focus on a variety of challenging issues facing the plumbing industry. The three-day conference, led by Union-Affiliated Contractors Chairman Robert Melko (who also serves as the Chicago Plumbing Council chairman, PAMCANI vice president and Local 130 Joint Apprenticeship Committee co-chairman), began with the annual Plumbing Industry Council Meeting.

The Copper Development Association has converted its popular Copper Tube Handbook into an app that can be downloaded directly onto an iPad or iPhone and carried onto the jobsite.
