Sloan, amanufacturer of commercial plumbing systems, is celebrating 10 years as the naming rights partner of Sloan Park, the Spring Training home of the Chicago Cubs in Mesa, Arizona.
“We are so pleased to celebrate 10 years of Sloan Park,” said Jim Allen, Sloan co-president and CEO. “We deeply value our partnership with the Chicago Cubs and take pride in providing fans with a welcoming and sustainable experience each spring.”
As the Official Water Efficiency Partner of the Chicago Cubs, Sloan products have served guests at the 15,000-seat Spring Training venue for a decade with water-saving innovations.
The ballpark utilizes water-efficient and sustainable products that are essential for drought-prone areas like Mesa, Arizona, which is considered one of the most water-stressed areas in the U.S. Sloan Park’s fixtures reduce the ballpark's water use by over 30%. The venue features Sloan’s full range of products, many of which have HPDs (Health Product Declarations) and EPDs (Environmental Product Declarations) which can help facilities earn LEED and WELL credits.
In addition, ADA-compliant products, such as AER-DEC Integrated Sink Systems, sensor-activated faucets, soap dispensers, hand dryers, and flushometers help Sloan Park meet the needs of a wide range of fans.
“Sloan and the Chicago Cubs have a long and storied history,” said Justin Piper, general manager, Sloan Park and Spring Training business operations. “We are proud to showcase Sloan’s innovative, touch-free products that provide a more sustainable and enhanced restroom experience for fans at the ballpark.”
The Cubs’ Spring Training season runs through March 26 with a 12:05 p.m. (MST) game against the St. Louis Cardinals.
