Terracon, a national consulting engineering firm comprised of engineers and professionals in a variety of related disciplines, has named Linda Yang, P.G., as director of growth for environmental services. 

According to an news release, Yang will work in her new role with Terracon’s chief growth officer to develop strategies to accelerate environmental services growth and diversification while collaborating with all stakeholders. The initial focus will be on strategic business sectors, the company’s national accounts, innovation, and technology. With more than 30 years of experience in environmental consulting and engineering, Yang has a broad range of expertise serving clients across environmental, health, safety, sustainability, and other areas. 

Most recently, Yang served as regional director for Terracon’s operations in Illinois, Wisconsin, and nearby areas. As a regional director for Terracon, Yang led multidisciplinary teams to provide environmental, geotechnical, and materials services to regional and national clients, including government, industrial, commercial, and municipalities. She has successfully developed high-performing teams, driven growth (organic and merger acquisitions), and achieved excellent results. 

Prior to Terracon, Yang worked at AECOM holding various leadership positions in operations, complex programs, sales, and strategic accounts. She successfully established key relationships and developed regional, national, and global accounts. 

Yang earned a Master of Business Administration with distinction from Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, a Master of Science in geology from the University of Illinois Chicago, and a Bachelor of Science in geology from Peking University. She is a registered professional geologist in Illinois.
