Uponor launched its latest online resource for industry professionals seeking information about residential fire sprinklers, www.uponorpro.com/firesafety. This landing page opens to a map where everyone from the installer to the builder to the code official can find everything from videos, case studies and industry links to training courses, technical support and local contact information for their specific area.
Since the mandate is just weeks away for Pennsylvania and California, this online resource is an especially critical tool for professionals in those areas that will be required to install fire sprinklers in all new homes built after Jan. 1, 2011.
“Fire sprinkler mandates are rapidly expanding, and professionals need a fast, easy resource to find information about correctly and cost-effectively installing fire sprinklers in homes,” says Jayson Drake, senior product manager, Plumbing and Fire Safety, at Uponor. “With the new residential fire sprinkler mandate fast approaching, there are thousands of new professionals looking to become educated in this industry,” says Drake. “Each state-specific fire safety page on the site has a tab specifically for installers to direct them on training and technical support for installing multipurpose systems.”
The state-specific pages also have tabs dedicated to builders and code officials who are looking for contact information and support for their local area.
