Have You Used America's Best Public Restroom?
Buc-ee's New Braunfels wins award for cleanest restrooms in U.S.

America’s votes have been tallied and the restrooms at New Braunfels, Texas convenience store Buc-ee’s was named Cintas’ America’s Best Restroom for 2012.
With 83 spotless toilets to select from, Buc-ee’s is the perfect stop for long-haul truck driver to take a load off.
“Buc-ee’s brand of convenience stores knows first-hand that clean bathrooms mean big business,” said Gary Gonzaba, Cintas’ Market Development Representative, at a Nov. 19 media event at Buc-ee’s.
Buc-ee’s defeated nine other public restrooms throughout the country in an online vote. The Liberty Market in Arizona finished in second place while the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel in Chicago was third. The Hollywood Bowl in California was fourth.
Buc-ee’s is a 68,000-sq.-ft. operation and has thousands of vehicles per day with people filling up on fuel, purchasing food and, of course, using the bathrooms. “We invite everyone to stop in to try out our award-winning restrooms,” Buc-ee’s co-owner Beaver Aplin said. “Maybe Buc-ee’s will be our city’s new claim to fame, the ‘Taj Ma-Stall’ of Texas … a tourist attraction in and of itself.”
