Metraflex’s Suction Diffuser Flex minimizes pressure drops and increases pump efficiency and flow rate. There is no need for a traditional suction diffuser, which can cause significant pressure drops. It reduces pump vibration and wear, maximizing pump operating life and helping to reduce pump maintenance. Placed upstream of an elbow, it counteracts the elbow-induced turbulence by rotating fluid flow so it exits the elbow and enters the pump impeller in a smooth, flat profile.
